Grant for Meetings and Conventions

Destination Moncton-Dieppe offers a grant program to support organizations hosting meetings or conventions that bring out-of-province delegates to Moncton or Dieppe. Funding is designed to help enhance the delegate experience and support events that generate measurable economic impact for the region.

Grant support is assessed based on key factors such as the number of out-of-province delegates, total room nights, and overall event impact. Funding levels vary accordingly and are determined on a case-by-case basis.

Eligibility & Key Criteria

To be considered, events must meet the following general criteria:

The meeting or convention must generate positive economic impact and provide an opportunity to showcase Moncton-Dieppe as a tourism destination

The event must be a national or international meeting, or a regional (Atlantic or Maritime) meeting with a minimum of 200 out-of-province registered delegates

Grant Funds are intended to go towards budget items impacted by destination-specific requirements (e.g., transportation logistics, special opening/closing banquet or reception, specialized speakers, etc.).

Funding cannot be duplicated from other government sources, with limited exceptions for significant events

Destination Moncton-Dieppe must be acknowledged as a sponsor during the supported function

Application & Approval Process

Applications are reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to available funding. Requests should be submitted a minimum of 1 year prior to the event. Applications received later may still be considered, provided funding remains available.

Approved applicants will be notified in writing. Grant funds are issued upon receipt of documentation confirming the number of room nights, with verification completed directly with the hosting facility if required.

For the purpose of this program, a meeting or convention is defined as an official gathering sanctioned by a national, international, or regional governing body. Private-sector corporate meetings and functions are not eligible.
