Local Champions in Action

Local Champions are leaders, innovators, and connectors who help bring meetings and conferences to Moncton–Dieppe. By sharing their networks, insight, and professional influence, they strengthen bids presented to organizing committees and event planners, highlighting everything our region has to offer visiting delegates.

In 2025, Moncton–Dieppe welcomed the National Culinary Federation. With Owen’s incredible support and collaboration, our region was selected as the host city. The conference was a tremendous success and truly memorable for our community.

Jeff has worked closely with our team on several conferences, including Skills/Compétences Canada board meetings in 2026. He is continuously looking for opportunities to bring more conferences to the region and is a great example of what it means to be a Local Champion.

Eligibility

Local Champions come from diverse sectors, and anyone with community connections or influence within their network can make an impact. Destination Moncton-Dieppe equips these champions with guidance, tools, and resources to streamline their advocacy efforts, from developing bids to connecting with venues and partners.
